Single grain as a category is relatively new. Traditionally, grain whisky has been distilled specifically for use in blends, but in recent years more and more distilleries and independent bottlers have started releasing these light and sweet whiskies in their pure form. Renowned independent bottler Duncan Taylor was one of the first companies to bring single grain whiskies to the market. Invergordon 31 Years Old Duncan Taylor 1990 is a rare old single cask release. The whisky was distilled in January 1990 and matured for 31 years in a single sherry cask. It was bottled in August 2021 at 45.9% ABV
