Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: This house is terribly underrated when top ports are mentioned. Their vintage ports tend to lack a bit of complexity and sheer majesty of aromas, but they do offer rich, robust, concentrated flavors of chocolate, spices, and deep, plummy fruit. (RP) (1/1989)

Wine Spectator: Medium garnet-ruby. A Vintage Port totally ready to go, with floral, berry and custard aromas and flavors. Medium-to-full body, with lots of sweetness, ripe fruit and a medium, yet flavorful finish. Alcohol shows a little now. (JS, Web-2008)
