A história e origem desta casa está intimamente ligada a Clemente Menéres, fundador da sociedade Meneres & Cª em 1886, tendo como principal actividade a cortiça, azeite e vinho. 19 anos mais tarde, aquela sociedade é extinta e é criada em 1905 a sociedade Real Companhia Vinicola do Norte para a qual transitou todos os stocks remanescentes da sociedade extinta. Três anos mais tarde, um litígio com a Companhia Vinícola do Norte de Portugal, a firma passa a designar-se Real Companhia Vinícola Portuguesa e que veio a falir em 1930.

Atendendo ao escrito no rótulo, VV, às caracteristicas do vidrado da garrafa e à capsula metalica (liga de Estanho) e que envolve o enrolhamento, trata-se de um vinho velho do seculo XIX e possivelmente engarrafada na decada de 20.

The history and origin of this house is closely linked to Clemente Menéres, founder of the company Meneres & Cª in 1886, whose main activity was cork, oil and wine. 19 years later, that company is extinguished and in 1905 the company Real Companhia Vinicola do Norte was created, to which all the remaining stocks of the extinct company were transferred. Three years later, a dispute with the Companhia Vinícola do Norte de Portugal, the company changed its name to Real Companhia Vinícola Portuguesa and went bankrupt in 1930.

Considering the writing on the label, VV, the characteristics of the bottle glaze and the metallic capsule (lead tin), which involves wrapping, this is an old wine from the 19th century and possibly bottled in the 1920s.
