NOTAS DE VINIFICAÇÃO
Como todos os outros Portos Churchill, os vinhos que compõem este Porto Vintage foram pisados ​​a pé em tradicionais lagares de granito (tanques de pisa). O jovem porto passou o primeiro inverno no Douro e depois foi transportado no início da primavera para as nossas antigas cabanas em Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto). Aqui estagiou em tonéis de carvalho temperado durante um ano, altura em que se decidiu que o vinho era de qualidade para ser declarado um ano de vindima. Neste ponto, eles foram engarrafados e armazenados em nossas adegas.

CELULAR
Cor violeta muito profunda. Intenso e focado no nariz, com camadas de aromas frescos de mirtilo à vista. Exuberante e vinoso na boca, com sabores frescos de amoras silvestres esmagadas em combinação com uma estrutura tânica pedregosa e uma acidez natural vibrante num final de longa duração.

RECOMENDAÇÃO DE CELULAÇÃO
Armazene deitado em condições de adega. Vai envelhecer lindamente em garrafa por mais de 50 anos. Pico de beber 15-50 + anos.

RECOMENDAÇÕES DE SERVIR
Deixe a garrafa em pé por algumas horas antes de decantá-la. Melhor decantado pelo menos duas horas antes do serviço. Serve à temperatura ambiente (16-18ºC).

Churchill’s Vintage 2017 has a very deep violet colour. Intense and focused on the nose, with layers of fresh blueberry aromas upfront. Exuberant and vinous on the palate, with fresh flavours of crushed blackberries in combination with a gravelly tannic structure and a vibrant natural acidity in a long lasting finish.

SOURCING: Very old vineyards from our properties located in the Douro Superior and Cima Corgo sub-regions in the Douro Valley.

GRAPE VARIETIES: 20% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, 20% Tinto Cão, 20% Tinta Barroca.

WINEMAKING NOTES: Like all other Churchill’s Ports, the component wines of this Vintage Port have been treaded by foot in traditional granite lagares (treading tanks). The young port spent its first winter in the Douro and then was transported in the early spring to our ageing lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia (Porto). Here it matured in seasoned oak vats for one year, at which point the decision was made that the wine was of such quality to declare a Vintage Year. At this point, they were bottled and stored in our cellars.

CELLARING RECOMMENDATION: Store lying down in cellar conditions. Will age beautifully in bottle for 50+ years. Peak drinking 15-50+ Years.

SERVING RECOMMENDATIONS: Stand the bottle upright for a few hours before decanting. Best decanted at least two hours before service. Serve at room temperature (16-18ºC).

QUALITY: We practice sustainable agricultural methods certified by the SATIVA institute. Our ports are produced with only indigenous-yeast fermentation. Our wines do not contain, or are produced, with genetically modified organisms or substances with origin in. No animal products are used.
