Vinificação:
Vinificado a partir de uvas provenientes de quintas da região do Pinhão, utilizando tecnologia tradicional do Vinho do Porto. Após selecção das uvas, esmagamento e desengace, segue-se uma maceração muito intensa durante o período de fermentação alcoólica, a pé em adegas de granito com temperatura controlada. O equilíbrio e a harmonia deste Vintage, bem como o seu corpo e estrutura, são obtidos através da selecção de uvas, a intensidade da maceração e a escolha do momento da paragem da fermentação. Após a vindima o vinho permanece no Douro, sendo submetido durante o inverno ao primeiro transbordo e transportado para Vila Nova de Gaia na primavera seguinte. Aqui começa o processo habitual de envelhecimento do Vinho do Porto em barricas de carvalho. Durante este período, os vinhos são sujeitos a rifas, análises e testes, que permitem acompanhar o seu envelhecimento.O lote final é obtido após a seleção criteriosa dos vinhos, na busca insistente pela melhor qualidade.

Notas de prova:
Cor opaca, quase preta. Aroma intenso de boa complexidade, com notas balsâmicas de resina, cedro e caixa de tabaco, temperadas como pimenta, cravinho e frutos pretos muito maduros. Na boca apresenta um bom ataque, com acidez bem integrada, taninos de muito boa qualidade, aromas de resina e levemente florais com um final longo e ótimo equilíbrio.

Conselhos de armazenar e servir:
É difícil colocar um limite superior na longevidade da Vintage Portos, que muitas vezes pode ultrapassar a marca dos 15-20 anos, desenvolvendo aromas terciários da maturação da garrafa. O vinho deve ser armazenado de lado e a uma temperatura constante ent

Emparelhamento com comida:
É ideal por si só no final de uma refeição, ou acompanhado de frutas secas e queijos ricos. Embora jovem, será uma excelente combinação com sobremesas ricas em chocolate e tortas de frutas vermelhas.

Winemaking: Vinified from grapes from estates in the Pinhão area, using traditional technology of Port Wine. After selection of grapes, crushing and destemming, very intense maceration is followed during the period of alcoholic fermentation, by foot in granite wineries with controlled temperature. The balance and harmony of this Vintage, as well as its body and structure, are obtained through the selection of grapes, the intensity of maceration and the choice of the moment of the stop of the fermentation. After the harvest the wine remains in the Douro, being subjected during the winter to the first transfer and transported to Vila Nova de Gaia the following spring. Here begins the usual process of aging Port Wine in oak barrels. During this period, the wines are subject to raffles, analyzes and tests, which allow to accompany their aging. The final batch is obtained after thorough selection of the wines, in the insistent search for the best quality.
Grape Varieties: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz

Tasting Notes: Color opaque, almost black. Intense aroma of good complexity, with balsamic notes of resin, cedar and tobacco box, spiced like pepper, cloves and very mature black fruits. In the mouth presents a good attack, with well integrated acidity, tannins of very good quality, resin aromas and slightly floral with a long finish and great balance.

Store and Serve Advices: It is hard to place an upper limit on the longevity of Vintage Portos, which often can surpass the 15-20 year mark, developing tertiary aromas from the bottle maturation. The wine should be stored on its side and at a constant temperature between 16ºC-18°C. Decant carefully before serving, at a recommended temperature of 16ºC-18°C.

Food Pairing: It is ideal on its own at the end of a meal, or accompanied by dried fruits and rich cheeses. Whilst young, it will prove an excellent combination with chocolate-rich desserts and red-berry tarts.
