NOTAS DE DEGUSTAÇÃO: Cor topázio cristalino e intenso com nuances verdes e douradas. Um bouquet característico de intenso cítrico, especiarias, madeira e frutos secos como avelãs, aromas. Meio seco, exuberante e fresco com um acabamento muito duradouro e etéreo, com marcas fortes de frutos secos amassados com aguardente velha e especiarias.

ENVELHECIMENTO
O Blandy’s Colheita Verdelho é envelhecido em cascos de carvalho americano segundo o processo tradicional de ‘Canteiro’. Isto inclui um delicado aquecimento do vinho no sotão dos armazéns no Funchal. Ao longo dos anos o vinho vai sendo transferido dos pisos superiores aos pisos intermédios, e eventualmente para o piso ao
nível do chão onde é mais fresco. Após esta ‘estufagem gradual’ o vinho é filtrado e clarificado antes de ser engarrafado.
Só foram produzidas 2,598 garrafas deste vinho.

Tasting Notes: A crystal clear and intense topaz color with green and golden nuances. A characteristic bouquet of intense citric, spice, wood and dried fruits like hazelnut, aromas. Medium dry, exuberant and fresh with a very long and ethereal finish with strong notes of dried fruits mashed with old brandy and spice.

MATURATION
Blandy’s Verdelho Colheita was aged in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system, whereby the wine is gently heated by warm air in the lofts of the company’s south-facing lodge in Funchal.
Over the years the casks are transferred from the top floor to the middle floor and eventually to the ground floor where it is cooler. The wine is regularly racked during the ageing process and is finally bottled when the desired balance of maturity is reached.
Only 2,598 bottles of this wine were produced.
