VINIFICAÇÃO: As uvas para o LBV 1999 são provenientes de vinhas de baixa produção na região do Cima Corgo, no Vale do Douro. Foram pisadas a pé em lagares de granito e o vinho envelheceu em grandes barricas de carvalho e em barris nas caves de Vila Nova de Gaia. É tradição da Niepoort engarrafar os LBV quatro anos depois da colheita. Segundo Dirk, é melhor “engarrafar este Porto o mais cedo possível para que a frescura e fruta do LBV se revele no momento da prova”.

NOTAS DE PROVA: Com aromas concentrados a frutos pretos maduros, ameixas e notas de pimenta preta. Intenso no palato e encorpado, com um final rico e longo. Agradável para beber desde logo, este LBV tornar-se-á mais complexo, prolongando o envelhecimento até 2015.1999 LBV Port Niepoort 75cl

VINIFICATION: It was created from low-yielding old vines in the Cima Corgo region of Douro Valley. The grapes were trodden in “lagares” and later the Port was matured in large wooden vats and also in barrels at our Lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. The Niepoort LBV are traditionally bottled 4 years after the harvest. Accordind to Dirk Niepoort, it is best

“to bottle it as soon as we can in order to reveal the fruit and freshness of the LBV in the moment of the tasting”.

TASTING NOTES: Concentrated aromas of ripe dark fruits, damsons and hints of black pepper. Intense on the palate and full bodied with a long rich after-taste. It can be enjoyed now, but will become more complex with further cellaring until 2015.
