VINIFICAÇÃO: O ano vitícola de 1997 foi atípico. Depois de um Inverno muito seco caracterizado por um mês de Fevereiro quente, a Primavera foi chuvosa e com bastante frio até ao mês de Maio. No entanto, o Verão longo, quente e seco permitiu uma maturação completa e ideal das uvas, resultando em vinhos ricos, cheios e taninosos, alguns deles de excepcional qualidade. É um ano de declaração clássica e generalizada de Porto Vintage.

NOTAS DE PROVA: Bonita cor, de tons alaranjados e tijolo com boa profundidade. O aroma e palato mostram a maturidade do vinho, resultado do longo envelhecimento em pipas. Apresenta notas de fruto cristalizado, lembrando damascos e pêssegos integrados com notas de fumo e frutos secos. Na boca está bem vivo, marcado por uma vibrante acidez e grande volume. É envolvente, com um final longo e muito agradável.

VINIFICATION: The 1997 wine year was atypical. After a very dry winter characterized by a hot February, spring was rainy and quite cold until the month of May. However, the long, hot and dry summer allowed a complete and ideal ripening of the grapes, resulting in rich, full and tannin wines, some of them of exceptional quality. It is a year of classic and generalized declaration of Vintage Port.

TEST RESULTS: Beautiful color, orange tones and brick with good depth. The aroma and palate show the maturity of the wine, the result of long aging in barrels. Presents notes of candied fruit, reminiscent of apricots and peaches integrated with notes of smoke and dried fruits. In the mouth it is very lively, marked by a vibrant acidity and great volume. It is engaging, with a long and very pleasant finish.
