Cor vermelha pálida, centro muito claro. Doce no nariz, trazendo marmelo e canela. Doce e lindamente elegante na boca. Muitas groselhas e uma complexidade maravilhosa por toda a língua e bochechas. Retrogosto longo, suave e acariciante. Este é um vinho fabuloso e foi o melhor vinho para beber na noite. 94/100. Este Porto está agora a atingir a sua plena maturidade e está pronto a beber. À medida que envelhece, começa a evoluir suavemente para um Porto de estilo mais tawny. Este Porto deverá provavelmente ser bebido nos próximos anos embora ainda mostre um equilíbrio e finesse notáveis.

Pale red in colour, very light centre. Sweet on the nose, bringing quince and cinammon. Sweet and beautifully elegant in the mouth. Lots of redcurrants and a wonderful complexity all over the tongue and cheeks. A long, gentle and carressing aftertaste. This is a fabulous wine and was the best wine for drinking on the night. 94/100. A superb example of Ferreira's style of elegance and complexity and an equally good example of the quality of the 1945 vintage. – AHB The Port Forum.

This Port is now beginning to reach its full maturity and is ready for drinking. As it ages further, it will begin to develop gently into a more tawny style Port. This Port should probably be drunk over the next few years although it is still showing remarkable balance and finesse.
